Pancit
Once in a while, I crave this pinoy noodle dish. Or maybe I'll make it because it's the only dish I can whip up with the available ingredients on a specific night. I probably had cooked this dish half a dozen times - and each time, it seem to taste differently. Not in a bad way, but I just can't seem to get a consistent flavor I had been experimenting to achieve: the way I remember it when it's made by my mom. I know she uses shrimp heads (which I don't have) - so maybe that's the secret ingredient. I have dried tiny shrimp that I got from the local Asian store in my pantry - and it's always after I had made the dish that I remember I have it! Aaaargh.
And yes, I put some peas in my pancit. So?
