Sunset

Being able to see the sun set in the horizon is the one thing I love about living in this side of Lake Michigan. Funny how I recall the very first time that I had watched the sunset (feels like eons ago: August 2008, while having dinner - and no, I did not have a photograph of the moment but it's one memory vivid in my mind) and what I was thinking was that the city I love (my US "home") is across the lake.

I watched this last night, my first this year and I thought - it will rise tomorrow (did I hear someone snicker, Awww?!).

Pensive Reminiscence

Memories are fleeting, sometimes inaccurate, often biased. Each memory is only as good as how we interpret the last recollection....
Somehow pictures may capture certain moments, and it helps make associations and events more indelible (whether we like it or not). I was organizing my digital photos when I found this one, and I had to stop and stare at it for a while. Why I decide to post this, I'm not sure - perhaps I will need to see it posted and look back to completely comprehend my actions.
I took this with my Nikon. Summer of 2009. And I remember everything that day that led to me taking this shot.
I was happy.

And in retrospect, transiently...
