Scouting Moment
Several weeks ago, when I learned that my friend's daughter was not going to have any budget for an engagement photo shoot, I had foolishly offered my services to photograph them. With the following disclaimer: (1) I am not a professional photographer (2) I have never done an engagement shoot (3) I do not edit any of my photos -- you know, the photo-shopped type of thing (4) I do this type of thing for fun. I was hoping that they would be at least giving me an idea of where they want the photograph to take place. When I asked and the reply was "oh, some park somewhere," I somewhat panicked. I interpreted that as I ought to choose the location.
Then again, most photographers do, I think. Didn't I just say though that I have never done an engagement shoot?
But I don't know if I could drag them there.
Didn't I just say I am not a professional photographer?

And I somehow thought about bridges. And went on a scouting location. I dragged B to this one the other day thinking it was just an old bridge. Not an old rail-road bridge with a no trespassing sign on it. I've always thought a dressed up couple in an old bridge would be nice. This was not the bridge in my mind after we arrived but I thought it will work. B briefly had a chat with two guys in an old building overlooking this rail-road bridge and was told a lot of people often just drop by to take photographs. Yeah, I knew my idea wasn't original But I know it'll work.
But I don't know if I could drag them there.
Didn't I just say I am not a professional photographer?
