My Summer Porch

Time flies.  It's almost Labor Day weekend, which somehow heralds the end of summer -- and if you're a student, the last weekend before going back to school.

This summer was memorable: morning glories were growing on my porch!  Even more astonishing was that it survived a week-long drought.  Yes, that week that the vines relied on three big Aqua Globes and rain for sustenance.

This summer was the first time I got in the Sand Dunes.

This summer was the first time B took me to a canoe trip down the Pere Marquette river.  The first time I was in a canoe!

This summer was also the first time I was in Europe.  The first time in Italy.  In Rome.

Now morning glories will forever remind me of the summer of 2011.....

Out Door Pusa*

That's what we had been calling this orange tabby -- he's been hanging out at B's yard for over three weeks now.  I wish I can cat whisper.... Or find one who can so he can tell his story.  What we know is that he is not a stray -- he is friendly, loves to lay down for a belly rub, even loves being cuddled/carried!  Plus, he has his front paws declawed.  I think he has a crush on Keiva!  I feel bad for him getting a little wet with the thunderstorm yesterday.  I wish he get to come home.... Or find a new home....

Reminds me of the time a kitten was under my Nissan Sentra one Fall night, and I took it in but had to give it to the shelter (the apartment has a no pet policy).  That grayish blue kitten stayed three nights with me and I purposely didn't give it a name (I often wonder what could have been if I did)....

Out Door Pusa (ODP) isn't really a name.  Is it?

Maybe She is Famous?

There was a photo shoot going on when B and I made our way back to the Spanish steps, day 3 in Rome.  And after it was over, there was a couple of people who requested to be photographed with her (and yes, they were all talking in Italian).  I should have taken more shots but these two are the only ones that I did because I wanted to enjoy the cool Limonada so I had to tuck away my Rebel.  I have to say, I love her purse!  I wonder where I could get that?!

Funny thing -- the first thing this woman's assistant did after the shoot was over was give her decent footwear!  Ha!
