I know, it's 2007. This Santa still adorns the small front garden of my apartment building. I think it's because the weather has been so Spring-like for the past weeks that he doesn't want to return to the frigid North Pole (but if this warm-up is a harbinger of the anticipated global warming, then the North Pole is probably experiencing the same Spring-like temperatures!).

And I thought this winter would be mostly white! Snow fell almost 6 inches early December. But it thawed after three days of above 40-degree weather. I actually really miss snow. I miss my sweaters (which are still locked away inside my plastic storage boxes). I miss matching my scarves with my sweaters. I long for my snow boots! Why did Denver get 22 inches for Christmas and another foot for New Year's?

Yes, it's 2007. I really shouldn't start the year sulking. Perhaps winter just took an early vacation.
